Breaking Defense – For the first time Lebanese Naval Forces have received drones to integrate into their maritime border security missions along the Middle East nation’s 225 km long coastline.

Defense News – Lebanon’s Navy is expected to receive this year multi-purpose boats from Italy and Protector-class coastal patrol boats from the United States, but the country still hopes to revive frigate negotiations with Italy.

Defense News – Lebanon’s sole coastline along the Mediterranean Sea is about 150 miles, and its Navy is largely tasked with protecting the country’s exclusive economic zone. But with the government becoming more interested in oil exploration, the maritime service may have to bolster its security capabilities.
